About

Andrew Shackleton produces audio/visual art, under the umbrella alias Flux-us, to create immersive experiences which are intended to be transcendent. Always working from the premise that “we come from the darkness into the light” he explores and utilises esoteric, occult and psychedelic themes with both visuals and sound. He has produced work for club nights, multimedia performances, installations for galleries and a promenade site specific morality play. He has a flair for technology and its use in applying it to the arts and media and works with a fine attention to detail and quality.

Past Projects

Isis | Horus | Osiris. This exhibition used close up photographs of eyes submitted by the public during a 7-week period between 1st December 2016 and 20th January 2017. Considering eyes are regarded as the window to the soul, the artist’s intention was to use these photographs as an invocation to the ancient Egyptian gods; Isis, Horus and Osiris. The exhibition featured a video tryptic with a custom soundscape and a wall featuring a 13 x 8 grid of A6 framed postcards, one of each eye superimposed on the wings of a butterfly.
